Accessible Formats - Communication Supports
The Township of Ramara will provide alternate formats of information and communication that is produced or in direct control of the Township. Alternate formats will be provided upon request, in a timely manner and at a cost that is no more than the cost charged for the original format. When it is not practicable to provide an alternate format, the Township will provide or arrange for the provision of an explanation or a summary of the document in an accessible format.
The Township will provide communication supports to members of the public upon request. If the Township is unable to obtain the requested communication support, the Township will work with the individual to determine an appropriate alternative method of communication.
In accordance with applicable legislation, the Township will ensure that websites and web content are created in a manner keeping with the expectations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.

All feedback, including complaints, will be directed to the Accessibility Coordinator and customers can expect to hear back within 2 business days.
Changes to our policies and procedures will be implemented as soon as practicable. If the changes require significant financial or capital investment, a plan will be developed to address the situation and submitted to Council for approval.

Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee
The Townships of Ramara and Severn have established a Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee to provide input to their respective Councils on matters related to Accessibility. The Committee meets at a minimum of two times per year.
